Rangers Looking To Complete Emphatic Sweep of Lowly Royals
The Texas Rangers (65-58 SU, 68-65 RL, 71-56-6 O/U) made my selection in the BetUS Locker Room a winner yesterday as they narrowly beat the struggling Kansas City Royals (56-76 SU, 62-70 RL, 61-70-1 O/U) on Tuesday, winning 2-1 for their second straight win over their AL counterparts.
Tonight, the Rangers will look to make it a clean sweep of the Royals by handing the ball to rookie left-hander Matt Harrison (5-3, 6.27 ERA) to record their first road sweep of the Royals ever and first road sweep over any opponent since turning the trick against the Oakland A’s on May 2-4, 2005.
Harrison, who has never faced Kansas City, had his three-game winning streak snapped on Friday in a loss to the Cleveland Indians while lasting only 3.2 innings and giving up five runs and seven hits in the Rangers’ 7-5 loss.
