The UTEP Miners (4-8 SU, 6-4-1 ATS in 2007) are looking to bounce back from an awfully disappointing season. On Thursday, August 28 they will kick off their 2008 campaign with a trip to Western New York to play the Bulls of the University of Buffalo (5-7 SU, 7-5 ATS in 2007) in an inter-conference game that is slated to kick off at 7 PM ET at UB Stadium (artificial turf) in Buffalo.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (9-4 SU, 9-4 ATS, 8-5 O/U) recorded a solid 9-4 record last season that was matched by their identical 9-4 ATS mark in the BetUS Sportsbook in 2007 and enter the 2008 NCAA college football regular season ranked in the top 25 (23rd) for the first time in program history.
The Demon Deacons enter the 2008 season brimming with confidence, particularly on offense with the return of two-year starting quarterback Riley Skinner and starting running back Josh Adams.
The team does have question marks along the offensive line with just two returning starters and will be searching for a receiver to replace 2007 leading wideout, Kenneth Moore.
To make a long story short, the offense will need a bit of time to develop and make some new chemistry.
However, the Demon Deacons have nine starters returning on defense and will undoubtedly be one of the best in the ACC and entire nation after finishing fourth in the country with 35 turnovers last season.

It wasn’t long ago that the Buffalo Bulls were a college football betting whipping boy—an absolutely foolish selection for NCAA football wagering enthusiasts. In fact, the Bulls only joined the Mid-American Conference in 1999, and basically stumbled through seven years of football as they questioned why in the world they left success in Division I-AA for this.
Enter Turner Gill.
Unfortunately, Jim Hofher managed a staggering eight wins in five seasons, including three campaigns with just one victory. The laid-back approach that he brought to Western New York didn’t exactly bode well for an upstart program. Gill, a former assistant with the Green Bay Packers, took the reigns and immediately breathed life into the troops—specifically the offense. After a difficult 2006 season, the former Nebraska Cornhuskers pivot led the Bulls to a 5-3 record in the MAC, and to a share of the East division title.
