PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Donovan McNabb, QB, Philadelphia: McNabb entered this
week's start against San Francisco with a bruised chest
and a questionable off-field relationship with WR Terrell
Owens. He finished it with 342 yards and five touchdowns
in a 42-3 blowout over the 49ers. McNabb, who completed
23-of-29 passes (79 percent), found Owens five times
for 143 yards and two scores. TE L.J. Smith broke out
for nine catches, 119 yards and one TD, WR Greg Lewis
scored his first TD of the season, and RB Brian Westbrook
found the end zone on a two-yard pass from the veteran.
With Daunte Culpepper in a horrible rut and no real
fireworks from Peyton Manning thus far, McNabb has been
the best of the preseason "Big 3" at his position
through two weeks.
