Eagles WR Terrell Owens has been suspended by the Eagles
organization for four games, which is the maximum that
a NFL team can suspend a player, and they have stated
that he will not return to the team once the announced
suspension is over.
Head Coach Andy Reid made the announcement
today during his usual Monday
afternoon press conference. "I do want it to
be clear that this decision is a result of a large number
of situations that accumulated over a long period of
time," the coach said. Owens "had been warned
repeatedly about the consequences of his actions,"
Reid continued. "We gave Terrell every opportunity
to avoid this outcome." |
