Former
Seattle Seahawks receiver Koren Robinson stood up
in court Monday and claimed responsibility for his
actions.
He pleaded guilty to a DUI charge and received one
day in jail, with 364 days suspended. Robinson,
25, hired acclaimed DUI attorney Jon Scott Fox
to represent him in Kirkland Municipal Court.
Fox said his client refused
to pursue several potential defense strategies,
choosing instead to take responsibility and put
the incident behind him. |

“He wants to be a better
person,” Fox said afterward.
Robinson entered into a plea agreement
whereby Medina prosecutor Russell Joe dismissed a charge
of reckless driving in exchange for a guilty plea to
the more serious charge of DUI. Also as part of the
deal, Robinson’s breath-test results are to be
stricken from the record. Robinson’s blood-alcohol
level registered .191 percent in two tests following
his May 6 arrest by Medina Police, according to information
on file with the Washington State Patrol.
The state’s legal limit for
driving is .08 percent.
