Balloting program that determines starters for the 2005 NBA
All Star Game. Yao received the most votes (2,558,278) in
NBA history while O’Neal collected the second-highest
total with 2,488,089 votes as each earned the starting center
spot in their respective conference. |

The remaining scraps of the regular season hang in the balance today as NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow return to the table - perhaps for the last time - in an effort to work out a new collective bargaining agreement. The two sides are coming off a nine-hour bargaining session on Thursday, their longest to date during these negotiations. The collective bargaining meeting opened at an undisclosed location in New York at about 1:30pm et and was still underway seven hours later when the NHL released a statement indicating that the talks were continuing - and could go late into the evening hours without public notice.
