on a Saturday night at Uncle Murray's is not his
idea of a good time, either. Bob Costas is not amused.
The "New York Times" is running a regular
poker column in its sports section and according
to Bob, that's just not right. |

Recently on "Costas Now",
Bob's new monthly sports series running on HBO, the
accomplished broadcaster denounced poker and all but
called poker players "degenerates". Well,
here's what he said:
"I hold in my hand the New
York Times, and in the sports section, their new regular
column on poker. Now at the risk of alienating degenerates
from coast to coast, I must say I find it hard to get
worked up over a sport that boasts all the pageantry
and magic of Saturday night at my Uncle Murray's basement."
Ouch. And a cheap shot at Uncle Murray to boot.
