City defensive tackle Junior Siavii and teammate Greg
Wesley were arrested after allegedly getting into a drunken
confrontation with police in a downtown Minneapolis hotel
early Sunday. Police spokesman Ron Reier said Sunday night
that the two players were both arrested on suspicion of
disorderly conduct. Reier
said the case will be presented to the city attorney's
office for possible misdemeanour charges. According
to police reports, the 335-pound Siavii charged officers,
but was sprayed with a chemical irritant and arrested.
The incident happened in the lobby of the Graves 601
Hotel.
The Chiefs have a training camp in River Falls, Wis.
They lost to the Minnesota Vikings 27-16 Friday at the
Metrodome. Siavii played 12 games as a rookie for the
Chiefs last season. He had 12 tackles, a sack and three
quarterback pressures. Wesley, a 206-pound safety, has
been a starter in the Chiefs' secondary for nearly all
of his five-year career. He has 20 career interceptions.
