Check back every day right here
for more updates and information on the The Kentucky
Derby - May 7th - at 6pm Eastern.
The Hat Parade - The
second most entertaining parade on the first Saturday
in May, next to the Kentucky Derby "post parade",
is the parade of hats on display at Churchill Downs.
From the fantastic to the sublime, there are no rules
or limits. In the Clubhouse and Paddock, women of
grace and taste sport classy, fashionable styles.
In the infield, the headwear has a zanier character.
Does a Derby hat improve one's luck at picking winners?
Some say, "yes, it certainly helps."

Millionaires Row
- The Kentucky Oaks was traditionally known as "Louisville's
Day at the Races", but as the race for fillies
becomes more prestigious, more and more celebrities
are flocking the "Run for the Lilies". Many
celebrities now make a weekend of their Derby experience
attending both the Derby and oaks, and others who
are not lucky enough to get a Millionaire's Row seat
on Derby day have found the Oaks to be just as exciting.
Churchill Downs
- Incorporated's success has been achieved through
a corporate strategy based on strengthening its racing
program and the Kentucky Derby, increasing the track's
share of the national simulcast market, and the geographic
expansion of its racing operations. This commitment
to quality racing has made the Company one of the
premier racing centers in North America.Churchill
