Apparently if your from Seattle its ok to beat up your girlfriend the week of the NFC Conference Championships. However Locklear has been "bailed out" by the Hawks as they want their starting right tackle for this weeks game against the Panthers.

Wednesday morning, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said in an interview with Seattle radio station KIRO that Locklear would play in Sunday's NFC championship game against the Carolina Panthers. Seattle Seahawks starting right tackle Sean Locklear has pleaded innocent to assault and is free without bail following an initial court appearance. At the hearing Tuesday in a King County Jail courtroom, Municipal Court Judge Edsonya Charles ordered Locklear to have no contact with his girlfriend, who lives with him. He also must abstain from alcohol and other drugs while the case is pending. A second court date was set for Feb. 13.

I need to vent for a moment about the most disturbing call ever in the NFL that almost cost the Pittsburgh Steelers a trip to the 2006 AFC Conference Championships in Denver this weekend.

When Troy Polamalu's fourth-quarter interception was overturned by referee Pete Morelli, Porter felt the Steelers were facing opponents on two fronts: the Colts and the refs.

"I know they wanted Indy to win this game," Porter said after the game. "The whole world loves Peyton Manning, but come on man, don't take the game away from us. "I felt they were cheating us. When the interception happened, everybody in the world knew that was an interception. Don't cheat us that bad. When they did that, they really want Peyton Manning and these guys to win the Super Bowl. They are just going to straight take it for them. I felt that they were like 'We don't even care if you know we're cheating. We're cheating for them.' "

Mike Pereira, the league's vice president of officiating, said in a statement that Morelli should have let the call on the field stand.

PITTSBURGH -- The excitement of the Steelers taking on the Indianapolis Colts proved too much for one fan on Sunday.

With about 1 minute remaining in the game, Colts linebacker Gary Brackett hit Steelers running back Jerome Bettis on the Indianapolis goal line and forced a fumble -- one that caused a man to go into cardiac arrest at Cupka's bar, in the South Side of Pittsburgh, Sheldon Ingram said.

The firemen performed CPR on Terry O'Neill, 49, of Arlington Heights, and then they called the paramedics, Ingram said. O'Neill was later revived with a defibrillator and taken to UMPC Presbyterian Hospital.

Dude...do you really think football is life or death? Come on...whether or not Jerome fumbles his last carry in the NFL is not a reason for you to have to end your life? I'll bet the doctors are telling you no smoking, no coffee, no booze, no sex, and now NO STEELERS FOOTBALL....if I were you I'd listen to him.
